2) GANTT chart and budget, Electronic
Product − Students create a
project timeline and budget for the proposal for a new electronic product.
3) Abstract, Sr Project Proposal − Students write a one-page proposal for their senior project.
4) Critique, Sr Projects at Open House
− Each student will attend the senior project presentations at the Technical
Open House event held in late March.
Each student must critique three senior project presentations.
5) Project Description section, Sr Project Proposal − Students write the senior project proposal section that describes how they will build their project and what contingency plans they have made.
6) Background section, Sr Project Proposal − Students write the senior project proposal section that describes what previous relevant work other people have done and how it falls short of meeting the needs addressed by the proposed project. This involves researching the available literature, summarizing it, and analyzing it.
7) PowerPoint, Sr Project Proposal − Formal 8 minute presentation (individual) of senior project proposal using PowerPoint. The presentation must include the main components of any proposal: Introductory statement, background, proposed solution, budget, and timeline. The technical level of this presentation should be for an undergraduate EE/CE audience.
8) Web, complete Sr Project Proposal − Each student will post a complete senior project proposal on their own web site. The proposal may be any form accessible by all standard web browsers. Web sites will be private unless specifically posted publicly by the students.
